Unmanned Coffee Machine Revolutionizes the Coffee Industry

[Taoyuan News] In the bustling Tamsui Old Street, a stylish wall has become a popular spot for tourists to take photos. Even more eye-catching is the unmanned coffee machine located nearby, offering delicious espresso and hand-drip coffee. On weekends, a long queue of customers always forms, making it a new must-visit spot in Tamsui.

Yeh Yo-Li (Arthur, Yeh), the general manager of Top Most Technology Co.,Ltd., stated that with the rise of the stay-at-home economy and the automation trend in the service industry, the company has launched an unmanned coffee machine as its initial trial product. The first-generation product is the smallest on the market, measuring only 1.7x1.7 meters. In the future, even smaller 1.2x1.2-meter models will be introduced. Top Most, a specialist in automation, primarily serves the paper and automotive parts industries. By applying its automation expertise to the unmanned coffee machine, it fully demonstrates its technical capabilities. Consumers can pay with cash, credit cards, EasyCard, or mobile payments, and the machine even provides change.

Investing in an unmanned coffee machine costs around NT$2 million. When installed in crowded commercial areas, the return on investment can be less than a year. In addition to Tamsui Old Street, Top Most also plans to install machines in a global semiconductor factory in the Taichung Science Park. When asked about the business model, Yeh Yo-Li (Authur, Yeh) stated that they are not considering franchising yet but are open to OEM partnerships. He emphasized that with convenience stores selling instant coffee, introducing unmanned coffee machines can improve operational efficiency.
